Official airport taxis use meters and cost S$30-42 (US$25-35) depending on time and surcharges. The flagfall is S$3-5 with airport surcharge of S$3-5 and possible peak-hour or midnight fees. Private pre-booked transfers run S$40-55 (US$30-45) with fixed pricing and meet-and-greet. Grab is widely used and costs S$28-38 (US$22-32), though pickup can be slightly confusing at Changi's multi-terminal layout. Public transport requires MRT from airport to HarbourFront (S$2.50, 60 min), then Sentosa Express monorail (S$4), making it impractical with luggage. The taxi journey uses ECP expressway and sometimes Ayer Rajah Expressway depending on traffic.
Taxi or transfer makes sense when you're heading to specific Sentosa hotels with luggage, especially if arriving late or traveling as a family.
